A voice says, “Cry!”

by jacob bock

You walk through the town square and (check it out!) someone is proclaiming a message.   Someone cries out.  What are they saying?  What needs to be said?

  • All flesh is grass  (Our life and good looks are short lived)
  • Its beauty is like the flower of the field (We grow old and die)
  • The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the lord blows on it. (Really now, we are not on planet earth for long…)
  • The word of our God will stand forever. (God is eternal, our life on earth is not)

What does God say to the Redboxers?

  • Get you up to a high mountain, herald of good news.  (Stand ontheredbox you evangelists!)
  • Raise your voice with strength.  (No need of a microphone)
  • Lift it up, fear not, and say “Behold your God!”  Don’t be afraid of what men may do to you)

Thank you, Isaiah. We need that encouragement to continue proclaiming THE MESSAGE of ETERNITY!

We preach that life is short and that we will stand before a Righteous and Holy God. Preaching a message that is focused on eternity awakens the conscience and drives the hearers to seek a Savior.  What a great opportunity we have to preach CHRIST!

Lift up your voices without fear my fellow evangelists!

Yeahmahn, no fear, no trepidation…just a presentation of the life-transforming Gospel in Jesus’ name. No popularity, no fame. Just a Holy Spirit FLAME a burnin’ in our hearts…and after many difficult and sometimes false starts, the message departs loud and clear…no trepidation no fear. People MUST hear the truth or they will just be roaming around in an empty booth looking for food and water because their hunger and thirst has compelled them to seak!!! And we know the answers, many churches are asleep, and all we have to do is put on our Gospel shoes to get out there and tell the Good News! Is there a price to pay? Of course. Yet if we let another day go by where a man’s tear in his eye will go unresolved, then we have missed our calling and commission. To bring the Gospel to the Word, to make disciples, and to tell others they don’t have to go to bed all alone trying to figure out where they have come from and where they are going. Some people seem to wake up on a train in a dark tunnel and they can barely see the beginning and surely don’t see the end. And we know the answer to both questions. WOE IS ME IF I DON’T PREACH THE GOSPEL.
