Looking for future leaders. (Part one)
As you lead an evangelism team, one of your greatest desires is to see your team grow and multiply. The harvest grows bigger and bigger but the labor force is small. How can you enlarge your work force? Make locating and mentoring future leaders priority number one.
The first step in all of God’s work is PRAY. God sees your need. He knows where the workers are and how to bring you together for their training. Right now prayer is your work. Pray them into your life.
Nine years ago a friend and I prayed, passed out tracts, and talked to a few people on the streets. We only reached a handful on any given night; our work force was so small. To us prayer was never a formality to kick things off; prayer is our point of contact with God’s powerful work in the harvest.
Today our ministry is open eleven hours a day and we have over twenty volunteer leaders. Working together as a team, our prayer house, coffee house and street evangelism can stay strong six days a week. The more leaders we have, the more people will hear the Gospel.
So, begin that intense work of prayer! Call out to God for workers. Pray that God would bring you together with your future leaders. Next week, I will tell you what to look for in a leader.

Excellent!
Good stuff, Jake. I hope you continue this for a while. It is getting deeper every time, so probably the longer you go, the deeper it is going to get. We need deep.
