You have time for what you love most

by jacob bock

It is common for people to say to me,  ”I wish I could come to evangelism more often.”  Or, “I just love the prayer house, I wish I could participate more.”

Their excuse is, ”I just don’t have time.”

To which I think , ”You have time for what you love most.”

Instead of having a triangular focus, they may have a nonagon focus (nine sides).

If you really want to spend more time in prayer and evangelism then do it.  If you truly don’t have the time, then you must take out the ax.  Time to eliminate things out of your life that are worthless.

How much time could you redeem if you eliminated:

  • Movies
  • Internet surfing
  • Television
The average American/European spends nearly FIVE hours a day on the above activities.

You have time for what you love most.

AND…since the average Christian only reads their Bible five minutes, let’s be nice and say, ten, at the end of a year, the average Christian has spent only FOUR AND A HALF DAYS listening to God speak to them. Now I ask this question: whose marriage, whose relationship, whose job, whose friendship would last, would be great, would be fulfilling, would be communicative if we only spent four and a half days with them a year listening to them? Marriages would fail, friendships would drop off, and people would feel lonely. Furthermore, the relationships would feel empty and not real. THEN we wonder where God is!!! Hmmmm…and the fire of sharing your faith with others? Same thing. People wonder where the fire went, and they forget that it is found on the lips and feet of those who bring Good News to the lost…
Blessings up on all of us in Jesus’ name…Rico
