I think the greatest thing…
I think the greatest thing is to believe in God and yet have the freedom to live your life completely without God.

Wow….what a sad response…. in other words he was consciously choosing hell?
Reading this several times…each time, asking for insight ….. it’s true in the fact that God gave us the freedom to choose.
I´m wondering: does this man know God? does he really know what is freedom?
Interesting. Why believe in God at all? It must not be the Christian God he has in mind. Did he clarify at all?
Seems sad condition of many in church in US. Salvation is non-relational, simply a go past jail ticket… we must preach and live the gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the Bible.
The greatest thing? In what way? God will let you go, it’s a big world, but I wouldn’t want to go there myself. Was his quote misleading in it’s shortness? Yikes.
How will that go down on Judgement day?
He needs prayer, for nothing is impossible for God let us pray for him and watch God work in his life and save him.
I agree with most part of this man’s sentence, but think to understand why he said it like this:
“I think the greatest thing is to believe in God and yet have the freedom to live your life completely (without God).”
I believe Gods love gives us total freedom. If we grasp His love for us, and receive the Holy Spirit within us, God will many times might lead us and guide us unconsciously. When God has become such a part of you, He will begin to lead you without you even noticing. Just as Jesus was guided continually, I believe each one of us can live guided AS IF you are living without God!.. >> Because it flows naturally and many people believe if things go naturally it cannot be God!! That is a lie I believe! I believe the Holy Spirit doesn’t want to become a “yes you can” or “no you can’t do this” answer all the time, but becomes your own will and desire.
I believe God longs to be so internal, that His law is written in our hearts, that we can believe in God, and in the same time live natural(ly) guided (by Him). That is DIRECT freedom and in the same time DIRECT obedience. Only God can do that. What a God we serve…
