What amazed me
It was a strange hour, say about 3 in the afternoon. People were walking through the square, not a lot, but plenty enough to hear the Gospel. He stood ontheredbox and began to preach. I was listening. So was one other soul winner. The message rang out across the Puerta del Sol. Voice was loud enough, structure of the message was excellent. The content had all the necessary elements and doctrines. His eyes searched out over those passing by. He preached with compassion. I could sense the “heart of the Father” as he spoke. He looked from left to right, pleading with them to turn to Christ. I stood tall. How could I not be proud of him? He smiled as he offered the mercies of Christ. I wanted to get saved all over again. What a message! He offered a Gospel and a prayer for all who would come. He stepped off the box. He was smiling.
I turned but there was no one to give a Gospel to.
No one had really stopped to listen.
A few here and there, for a minute or so, then on they went with their lives.
What amazed me? That people didn’t listen to the message? No.
Then what amazed me? The amazing thing is a young man, who doesn’t even consider himself an evangelist, comes down nearly every day, stands ontheredbox, preaches and amazing message with passion, conviction and anointing- as though there were 1000 people listening. And he steps down off the box with a smile on his face. Why? Because he just proclaimed the Message of Jesus.
He did if for Him. That was enough.
